In conversations with Cal and Cordelia in Session 31, it is revealed that Kade is fleeing from the thieves’ guild after he spared the life of a snitch, resulting in the eradication of his faction of the guild and with him being labeled as a snitch as well
His logic is that the guild won’t expect him to be hiding in plain sight/in their own territory (a party member comments on how this isn’t very thought through)
His weapon of choice - and specialty - lies in firearms
